Nose: dark cherries on top of fine peat, then a little bit of sherry develops. Raisins, dried apricots, maybe dates.
Mouth: jammy, spicy (pepper, mostly), some ginger.
Finish: balsamic vinegar, grape juice, distant peat, grape seeds.
I detested this one the first time I had it back to back with another batch of the same. It was suplhury and acrid. With oxidation, it became delicate and refined. More importantly: fruity. A great dram, after all.
